The state of the Portuguese government's offices is third world

Today we went to AIMA to extend our residency certificate (which you need to do after 5 years here).

Firstly, we couldn’t do it in Lisbon because the waiting lists there are many many years (!)

So we went to a place in the middle of nowhere.

The state of government offices here is just ridiculous, especially considering how much tax you pay here: 23% sales tax, ~32% effective corporate tax and 48% over €86K per year, it’s high by any standard. But they can’t pay for offices to look even somewhat maintained. Then where is that money going?

A true disgrace.
