Portugal has killed many drinks brands with a new tax

Portugal has introduced a new, bullshit 10 cent tax on every can and bottle.

I already recycle my cans and bottles by walking round the corner and dropping them into the recycling bin provided by the council: no problem.

But that’s not good enough.

Now we have to pay an extra 10 cents on every drink and take our bottles and cans to a local supermarket to reclaim the money.

Obviously I wont do this: because I’m not a stupid, filthy peasant.

My time is far more valuable than scraping together 100 cans for 10 euros.

So now I pay a new tax that goes to a private company that’s (apparently) connected to the government.

Oh. And a number of drinks manufacturers like my beloved Robinson’s Squash have decided to stop exporting their drinks to Portugal.

Portuguese politicians are the most stupid, corrupt people in the developed world.
